Random muse

The markets were still in turmoil this week. We have finally gotten into oversold territory on all indices with SPY and DIA oversold the most. Currently I am in a agricultural stock since it is one of the stronger sectors and I think the market is due for a bounce.

One of the things I hate about living in America is how cut off we are from the rest of the world. Americans seem to be insulated from everything from politics to sports. I miss watching wimbledon and soccer tournies that i took for granted back home.

The Euro cup final is tomorrow, though I am neutral I hope Spain lodges a win to get the monkey off their back. They always seem to choke on the big stage, I thought they had a very strong showing in the world cup till it fizzled in the knockout stages. The germans will be tough to get through, especially with their strength in the air and on set pieces. I will be cheering Spain though I am pretty neutral.

The dutch really sucked when it mattered. It was a pathetic performance against Russia..... where is the fight bitch.... maybe they need to learn a thing or two from the turks.

I think the Brazilians and the argentines are the only two teams that can consistently play free flowing soccer. It has been a long while since the Dutch have succeeded in playing that brand of soccer- not since the days of van basten, gullitt, koeman, reickhard. The likes of robben (who i find eternally selfish in his play) and can persie (who I find to be making too many moves with the ball to confuse himself...aka christiano ronaldo in his younger days) are not the kind of players to build an attacking, hold the ball- we will attack on our own sweet time kind of team that the Brazilians and the Argentines have.
