Fernando Torres.... what a burst of speed right by Phillip Lahm who is no slow poke himself. Congratulations Spain! You were the best team and you won. I can fancy your chances in the next world cup with the same young players, you are in for a very good shot. It was a good game, but it was refreshing to see a smaller team outmuscle the big germans. And Spain controlled the ball perfectly using the short pass game to perfection. That is what happens when you have a bunch of young players playing together through the years. On the other hand, the Germans failed to put together good set pieces and the spanish goalie to his credit decided to punch the ball than try to collect it. A wise wise move against the taller Germans.

I also think we have seen the last of Jens Lehman and Miroslav Klose. They have a bit of rebuilding to do before the next world cup. I do not think older players will be responding well in the heat of South Africa.
