Watchlist- Apr-11 2007 late post :(

Quite a few alerts on my watchlist today. Markets making a reversal from the sell-off yesterday!

Solar Stocks- STP

has anyone noticed how solar stocks has been the rage the last few weeks? Ofcourse, you have. FSLR, ASTI, ESLR, SPWR have all recorded atleast yearly highs. STP however has been the bastard child of this group- pretty strange considering that a) it has positive earning ever since its IPO last year and the best P/E ratio among the lot, b) Manufacturing facilities in China (Comeon, do you want me to spell out LOWER COSTS?)

If you see the 6 month chart, you can see a descending triangle formation with a bullish MACD. The (12,26) MACD line and EMA lines just cris-crossed below zero indicating a bullish scenario. The 5- day is above 10-day EMA and the 50-day has flattened. This is getting close to a nice setup.

NYX- Anatomy of a bad trade

NYX here broke through its support level at 96.0 and pummeted to sub 94 levels. Just another reason why a good stop helps. But, looking back I should have waited for confirmation to ~97.

Just one of those trades that pisses me off........

NVTL- midday update

NVTL had breakout through a 3-day converging triangle pattern and is currently finding support on the upper arm. Volume is light this morning. Lets see if things pick up this afternoon.

SHORTS to watch

With the market showing strong signs of a uptrend, my shorts to watch list is truncated to say the least. A couple are EZPW and AXP (See Alphatrends blog).

Not much going on right now, but I hope things pick up on the long side. Currently I have positions in a couple of stocks I was watching.
